12 month Contract Opportunity: Virtualisation Engineer (SC Cleared)

Nottingham (On-site 5 days per week)

12-month contract

£350–£400 per day (Inside IR35)

Start: ASAP (likely March)

We’re currently looking for an SC Cleared Virtualisation Engineer to join a large infrastructure programme based on-site in Nottingham. This is a key requirement, so candidates must hold active SC clearance (recently lapsed clearance unfortunately won’t be suitable). You’ll be joining a wider team supporting both project delivery and operational support, with a strong focus on virtualisation technologies.

The Role

This position is primarily project-focused, supporting major technical delivery work, with some BAU and support responsibilities where required. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver and maintain a robust virtualisation environment.

Key Skills & Experience Required

● Windows Server 2012 (R2), 2016, 2019

● VMware / vSphere / Horizon (expert level or able to upskill quickly)

● Active Directory

● HPE Servers

● Basic networking

● Data centre management

● Comfortable supporting BAU technical issues when required

● Experience engaging with suppliers and third-party teams

Additional Information

● SCCM is desirable but not essential

● Synergy experience is desirable

● On-call participation required

● Support desk / front-line fix duties may be required as part of the wider team
