Job Description

Customer Success Implementation Specialist

Industry: SaaS | Risk and GRC Technology

Location: Manchester, hybrid (2 days a week in the office)

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000

We’re working with a fast-growing UK SaaS business operating in the risk and governance space, helping organisations simplify how they manage risk through a modern, highly configurable platform. As their customer base continues to scale, they’re expanding their Customer Success function and are now hiring two Customer Success Implementation Specialists to join the team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of customers, data and technology, and who wants to play a hands-on role in helping customers get real value from a platform from day one.

The role

As a Customer Success Implementation Specialist, you’ll be responsible for onboarding new customers onto the platform, owning the technical setup, configuration and data migration that underpins a successful go-live. You’ll work closely with Customer Success Executives and the wider CS team, acting as the bridge between customer requirements and how the platform is configured in practice.

The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, with multiple implementations running in parallel, regular platform enhancements, and a real opportunity to help shape how implementation and onboarding is done as the business continues to grow.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting customer implementations from kick-off through to go-live
  • Configuring the platform to reflect each customer’s processes, structure and goal
  • Migrating customer data, often from large and complex spreadsheets, into the platform accurately and efficiently
  • Running implementation calls, walkthroughs and training sessions with customers
  • Translating customer needs into practical, scalable platform configurations
  • Acting as a calm, confident point of contact during the implementation phase
  • Identifying opportunities to improve implementation and onboarding processes as the team scales
  • Feeding insights back into Customer Success and Product to support continuous improvement

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in a SaaS implementation, onboarding, or customer-facing technical role
  • Confidence working directly with customers and explaining technical concepts in plain English
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working with large datasets
  • A basic understanding of technical concepts, ideally including JSON or similar configuration formats
  • A problem-solving mindset and a genuine willingness to learn
  • Ability to manage multiple implementations in a changing, high-growth environment
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

Candidates from both enterprise SaaS backgrounds and those earlier in their careers with a strong technical focus will be considered. Attitude, curiosity and adaptability matter more than years of experience.

Location and working pattern

This is a hybrid role, with an expectation of two days per week in the Manchester office, typically Tuesday and Thursday. The remainder of the week can be worked remotely. There is a strong preference for candidates based in the North West due to the collaborative nature of the team.

Why join?

You’ll be joining a growing SaaS business at an exciting stage, where your work will have a visible impact. This is not a scripted implementation role. You’ll have real ownership, influence over how customers are onboarded, and the chance to grow alongside the team.

There’s clear progression available, whether that’s into a Customer Success Executive role or a more technical path as the platform and team evolve. You’ll be supported with structured onboarding, close mentoring, and a genuinely down-to-earth culture that values curiosity, pragmatism and doing things properly.

The process

The interview process is straightforward and well-structured, starting with a virtual first stage followed by an in-person meeting with the team in Manchester. The business is moving quickly but is committed to finding the right people rather than rushing decisions.
