Job: Product Owner / Manager

Location: Manchester (Hybrid)

Are you a Product Owner / Manager eager to transform ideas into impactful solutions? Join our growing team, where you’ll be pivotal in guiding the evolution of our SaaS offerings. Reporting to the Head of Product, you’ll help ensure our products align with both user needs and business objectives.

 

In this role, you'll have the exciting chance to:

  • Define and Document Business Needs: Work closely with internal and client stakeholders to gather insights and convert them into actionable business requirements.
  • Manage the Product Backlog: Break down the product roadmap into manageable epics and user stories, identifying and addressing key challenges to drive successful outcomes.
  • Craft User Stories and Acceptance Criteria: Develop detailed user stories and acceptance criteria to direct the development team in creating high-impact features.
  • Analyze User Profiles and Journeys: Understand user profiles and map their journeys to ensure the product meets their expectations and requirements.
  • Collaborate on Prioritization: Partner with clients to adjust the product backlog as needed, ensuring priorities remain aligned with evolving business needs.
  • Engage with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with digital teams, including business analysts, UX designers, solution architects, and developers, to ensure cohesive and efficient product delivery.
  • Leverage Research Insights: Utilize competitor analysis, user testing results, and other research to inform feature design and roadmap priorities.
  • Apply Best Practices: Employ business analysis and project management principles using digital tools to support effective product management.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: Proven track record as a product owner or manager in a digital product environment.
  • Agile Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Agile methodologies, including experience leading Agile ceremonies and managing iterative development.
  • Business Analysis Skills: Ability to translate stakeholder needs into actionable requirements and manage complex product backlogs.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of web technologies and software development, facilitating effective communication with technical teams.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities, capable of leading workshops, discussions, and aligning team goals.
  • Problem-Solving: A consultative approach to addressing challenges, adaptable to shifting priorities and client needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Effective at working within cross-functional teams, fostering strong relationships with strategists, developers, and other stakeholders.
